Sought job:Translator/Program Assistant/English Teacher

Dear
Sir/Madame,

I am searching for a job opportunity in
Paris. Below you can see the short description of my work experience.

Having obtained a strong educational background at Paris
Diderot University and ENS de Cachan (Master 2 in UFR Études Anglophones and
Département d’Anglais de Spécialité in France and at Yerevan State University
in Armenia (Master of Philology, Translation Studies, diploma with honours), I
have worked in the following directions: 1) involvement in international
development programs (American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA
ROLI)); 2) teaching at university; and 3) freelance translation/interpretation
(English, French, Russian, Armenia).

During
my work experience at ABA ROLI, my responsibilities included not only organizing
and coordinating project activities, events and information; ensuring that the
project requirements are met as the project evolves; liaising with partners to
identify and define new projects; tracking project’s progress and handling any
issues that arise; helping do research and prepare project proposals;
identifying timeframes and schedule; creating and maintaining project
documentation, plans and reports; but
also translating various official documents (e.g. ECtHR judgments) and
correspondence (English, French, Russian, Armenian) as well as interpreting
at meetings, conferences and other events, which I think are largely in
conformity with the requirements of this post.

Working
as a Program Assistant at ABA ROLI within the framework of Legal Assistance Program for Displaced and
Conflict-Affected Persons in Armenia” funded by the Bureau of Population,
Refugees, and Migration of the US State Department, I have had the utmost
pleasure to work with the UNHCR office in Armenia. We have successfully
cooperated in terms of organizing joint events such as trainings, group
discussions, conferences and round-tables; coordination meetings, so
forth. Before, I had also worked with
the UNDPI office in Armenia as an intern being engaged in translating, research
as well as organizational activities, where I came to know better the UN
values, functions and work.

As an English Language
Lecturer my
duties mainly
included structuring
General, Business and Legal English lessons, assessing both oral and written
exams, preparing tests for final and mid-term exams as well as organizing final
and mid-term oral exams. I have participated in developing annual course syllabi. Besides, I
was a member of
Entrance Committee of UFAR. I have actively been engaged also in oral and written translations related to
the university activities (English-French, English-Armenian,
and vice versa) translating various
official documents as well as doing consecutive
and simultaneous interpretations manifesting high quality work.

As
a freelance translator/interpreter, I have closely cooperated with
international organizations such as German Corporation for International
Cooperation (GIZ), International Legal Consulting LLC and others, translating
legal documents and interpreting during their events.

I
can assure you that my strong educational background and extensive experience make
me an appropriate candidate for your organization. Being open to different
cultural backgrounds, having the capacity to work effectively under pressure
and provide quality and timely work, mastering 4 languages as well as having good
IT skills, I will be a great asset for your team.

I
perceive the employment opportunity in your organization as a significant
advancement in my career and I believe that work with you can be a good
environment to show my full potential and utilize my skills and knowledge.

Yours faithfully,

Madame Ye... Y...
